One area of special significance is a cave on the property believed to mark the oldest known European Explorer's in the Texas area. Formerly, the earliest known Europeans were believed to have canvassed the area in the early 1580's, yet the inscription denoted at the entrance of the cave places these explorer's in the Texas Hill Country area around the year of 1577.
